I’m afraid I agree with Rob on this one. The clip IS excellent, technically – great editing and collage. But altering the clips to create the “glowing-orb zombie” look takes away from the spirit of a “theme conversion.”

I’d love to see it done again without the film-altering. And the idea of the echoing fingersnaps is brilliant, Dan. THAT would make for a great creepy ending.

Well done!! That gave me chills. I especially loved how you edited the part where Natalie Wood was speaking spanish, and Richard Beymer walks in her window. That made me giggle. :)

Very nice, but you missed an easy win by leaving out the signature sound of the movie: finger snaps … would have been a great trailing sound at the end …

For someone like myself with a musical theater background, this is quite brilliant from an “editing” stand point. Most of the clips here have been altered and this one seems rather mild in it’s overall “altered” stages. Nice job.

Personally I was not impressed. I feel it goes against the spirit of this site to alter the footage. The real skill is to use authentic untouched clips and just edit them in such a way that they tell a different story.
