[...] There is now a blog dedicated to film trailer mashups called The Trailer Mash and it features some excellent examples of the genre. The Shining recut as a romantic comedy is still probably the funniest but there is some great new stuff on there, especially Lost reimagined as The A Team (!) and Garden State redone as a thriller. [...]

[...] Out of all of them… so far I think my favorite is The Shining as a romantic comedy. Great work. Oh and Chicago as a horror flick is not too bad either. The Trailer Mash is a website totally devoted to collecting recut trailers and trailer mash-ups. Browse by the genre they were recut into, or just check out the Top Rated Trailers for the best of the best! [...]

Any film starring Jack Nicholson will always deserve a look at and his new movie, The Departed, is no exception. Even at 69 years old, Nicholson is the most interesting character in this film. I definately recommend this flick.

It doesn’t get any better. Perfect editing and voice over.
I would like to see that movie.

I’ve noticed that there are some songs with incredible power. “Brokeback Mountain Theme” causes anything to be gay, “How to Save a Life” turns anything into a drama and “Salsibury Hill” turns anything into a family movie/comedy. Amazing

BEST TRAILER EVER! I want to see this movie now, um the comedy one not the real one. Excellent job!

This trailer mash includes an audio clip from the movie “About Schmidt”.
(clip of Jack Nicholson saying, “I’m your new foster father.”)
That should probably be cited, right?

When Salsbury Hill hits I literally shiver, it’s so powerful. Thank you for this.

I didn’t find this funny at all. They just did a great job of cutting clips to make a whole new movie. There’s no absurd and hilarious juxtaposition of the actual plot of the original film and the new editing of the clips/audio, like you see in Brokeback to the Future. It just looks like a completely different film, and it comes off as a nice trailer about a whole different story. The editing is done professionally, but this isn’t comedic at all.

Gotta disagree with Gabe. Turning some of the many twisted scenes from one of the most disturbing movies ever into a playful jaunt is abso-frickin-hilarious.
November 28th, 2007 at 8:24 am
Nice work….you should find other movie trailers at filmcrave.com
March 6th, 2008 at 9:32 am
@ Gabe – the trailer itself isn’t funny. Taking one of the most terrifying movies ever made and turning it into a romantic comedy is what’s funny.
Awesome job!

fucking genius.
August 28th, 2008 at 10:50 am
yeah, and….FUCK YOU, GABE. Bulletin, you are a moron. Brokenback to the future was genius but took three movies worth of clips to pull off the funny gay theme. you are making an over-analytical mute point about the story line. no one gives a shit about following the original plot. it’s just supposed to be whitty, you unoriginal pompous DOUCHE BAG. so go juxtapose that up your mothers fuck hole. i hate people with dumb opinions. fucking idiot. you are probably 17 with a little dick and working at starbucks in LA trying to be a film writer. nice headshot. go do something more creative and post it. FUCK.
