The Shawshank Redemption recut joins the large number of films recut to be gay romances. However, unlike all the others, it doesn’t just lay brokeback music over the top of the soundtrack, but rather uses unique music and selected character lines.     Thank you for not using Brokeback Mountain music track. For that reason alone I enjoyed it. I do agree could have been a little shorter.

    I really don’t understand the hate for this. Not only was the trailer impeccably made, but the development was completely convincing. Don’t listen to the haters, they just don’t want to see a Robbins-Freeman love affair.
