This vid is a trailer combining footage from The Transformers: The Movie with audio from The Lord of the Rings movie trailer. Now this trailer is not Autobot vs. Decepticons, it’s all of the Transformers versus Unicron. I chose some of the characters based on their looks, not their persona from the cartoon. Starscream as Legolas for example, I needed someone who looked older than Hot Rod (Frodo), but younger looking than Springer (Aragorn) and Starscream fit the bill.

It’s fun to watch and I hope you get a good laugh out of it. I think I did a pretty good job matching the lip syncs and sound effects.

This trailer didn’t really fit into any of our other genres, so we had to make a new category for it: Sci-Fi. Previously, we thought it wasn’t possible to cut a film into a sci-fi genre if it didn’t contain those elements in the first place, but Brian Dohn has delightfully proven us wrong with this one.
