Brokeback or no, I’m always in favour of revealing homoerotic subtext!! I love this! It’s hilarious, for one thing; the text is good; the splicing is ace. Just one problem: I didn’t think the song fit particularly and it was much too loud; couldn’t hear a word of that sultry fireside talk.

Tough crowd. Well I did this more than a year ago, and originally I was going to use the Brokeback Mountain theme, “Wings.” But like Random Dude said I too was getting tired of the Brokeback parodies, so I wanted to use another love song that you would NOT expect to hear in a Barbarian movie. Anna Nalick’s Breathe was IT for me.
Oh yes, by the way, the fireside talk was:
CONAN: Ha! Crom laughs at your four winds.
DAR: We depend on each other.
