10 Things I Hate About Commandments (comedy)
CREATED BY: Mike Dow & Ari Eisner (Smacky Productions)
MOVIES USED: The Ten Commandments, Pulp Fiction (audio)
Using footage from The Ten Commandments (1956), and a short audio clip from Pulp Fiction, comes a teen comedy “3000 years in the making”. The title of this clip is a reference to the 1999 teen comedy 10 Things I Hate About You.

the voice talent sounds like a professional and that really makes this one work.
August 26th, 2006 at 6:52 pm
“What happened here was a miracle, and I want you to fuckin’ acknowledge it!” Classic.

that is more like “can’t buy love” or whatever movie it was with nick cannon in it. it was funny though.

More creativeness than all the movies released this year. Finally, a great comedy starring Charlton Heston!

I’ve seen one too many of these spoofs to be especially appreciative of this. That said, the Sam Jackson overdub made me puke from laughing so hard. Well played, sir.
October 7th, 2006 at 6:03 am
Thanks for this.
October 18th, 2006 at 9:13 pm

Excellent, loved it! Especially the Samuel L. Jackson bit, and the great voice over. Which fatboy slim song was that?
November 27th, 2006 at 5:35 am
This is awesometacular. Maybe a sequel with Ben-Hur? ;)
November 30th, 2006 at 1:34 pm
Love how the old bald guy is credited as Sinead O’Connor. Genius!
December 1st, 2006 at 1:12 pm
Wow, can we say talent. this guy did a wonderful job on putting this together. I’v seen the real movie and never thought of it as a teen-comedy but, this just goes to show you that this person can really use their imagination.
i have to also add that the part with sam jackson as the burning bush…classic, just simply classic.
great job to whom ever did this. i look foward to more from ya!!!
December 10th, 2006 at 1:40 am
LMAOOOOOO!! But SOMEBODY’s goin to H-E-L-L Nice touch with Samuel L LOL
December 10th, 2006 at 12:20 pm
The Sinead O’Connor bit had me gasping for air.
December 10th, 2006 at 5:56 pm
The Fatboy Slim song was “Going Out of My Head” from Better Living Through Chemistry.
December 11th, 2006 at 3:02 am
That’s a riot! The split/screen with Brynner, spear in hand, and Heston, staff in hand, is genius–I never picked up on that.
But it shows something too: the Ten Commandments is a damn good movie, let the film profs sneer all they like. It’s going to endure as long as the story it’s based on. “What DeMille made was a great movie, and I want you to fuckin’ acknowledge it!â€
December 11th, 2006 at 6:23 am
Love the Samuel L. jackson at the end
December 11th, 2006 at 11:59 pm
Another stupid comedy, as I can see from the trailer…
And about the comments posted here: we can see the result of 150 years of atheistic indoctrination… As someone would say: the END is near… And it’s not funny…

Oh shut up, aren’t you a little old to have an imaginary friend?

I think I watched that 10 times today and still thought I would shit my pants. The SL Jackson stuff is classic! Hilarious. Keep up the good work…
April 19th, 2007 at 8:40 am
Ramses: “No doubt.”
I was laughing so hard during the first five seconds, I was crying and couldn’t hear the rest of it. I’ve since watched it five more times.
April 22nd, 2007 at 6:35 am
Awesome trailer. Just goes to show you anyone can be cool, even Moses.
April 25th, 2007 at 7:31 am
Wow. I just keep watching this one over and over. Words seem so inadequate to describe it.
And I have friends who are quite religious that would find this clip hilarious as well. Anyone who can’t see the humor, and just chill out and enjoy the creativity is really, really sad.
Yeah, I’m sure this clip was referenced in the Bible as one of the signs of Armageddon. Pleeeeeeeeeeease.
May 3rd, 2007 at 7:50 am
Well done! I got cramps laughing.
May 12th, 2007 at 5:24 am
This video is hilarious, and I laughed my ass off. But how is this a trailer mash? it’s more like a trailer recut, and does not seem to belong on a trailer mash website…
May 22nd, 2007 at 2:22 pm
Well, this got ripped off by ebaum’s too. You probably know already though.

September 10th, 2008 at 2:20 am
10 Commandments was already one of the funniest movies ever, this spoof is brilliant. And this comment section is NOT the place to discuss religious views. You can believe in God and still laugh, y’know!

February 4th, 2009 at 11:24 am
I laughed at this even harder than “Oops, I crapped my pants!”
(If that’s still relevant). Great Job!
March 5th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
I know praise has been heaped on this one for a long time, but I can’t say enough about just how good this one is. This is even better than the classic “Shining” trailer, also on this site. The Sam Jackon line in the end just seals it.
